Patriotic Cupcake Cones


I made the most delicious dessert yesterday and made it patriotic simply by adding red and blue sprinkles, cherries, strawberries and blueberries. I used this recipe to make the most moist and delicious vanilla cupcakes



The best part of these cupcakes was my frosting. I love whipped cream and I also love cream cheese frosting so I decided to mix the two and make a double whipped cream cheese frosting.

IT WAS DIVINE! Once you finish baking the cupcakes just put them in to a cone and then pipe as you please. These obviously can be decorated for any occasion!


Heres my double whipped cream cheese recipe:


What you'll need:

  • 8 oz cream cheese at room temperature

  • 2 cups confectioners sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream (keep chilled until ready to use)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Whip the cream on high speed with an electric hand mixer (1-2 minutes) until thick, fluffy and spreadable.


In a second mixing bowl, using a hand mixer (You can also use a kitchen aid like I did), beat cream cheese and powdered sugar (start on low speed unless you want to be standing in a cloud of powdered sugar), then beat in 1 tsp vanilla extract.


Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mix.


Pipe and Enjoy!
